The excitement of Christmas is over, and many youths have a long week in front of them; so now what?

There are two key places to go in town where kids can keep busy during their off week from school; the Knoxville Public Library is back open, at its temporary location inside the former East Elementary School, and there will be plenty of books and videos available for check out.

The library will stay open for its usual hours through 5 o’clock on New Year’s Eve, and then be closed for all of New Year’s Day.

And for older kids, there’s plenty going on at the Knoxville Rec Center; all its facilities will be available at their usual hours all week long.
