After three loses to start the season, the Melcher-Dallas boys basketball squad reeled off four wins to finish off the first portion of the schedule. The Saints three loses were to Pleasantville, Ankeny Christian, and Lamoni who have 16 wins between them. Coach Jim Wells tells KNIA Sports, those loses taught his team a few lessons in what they need to improve on and the four wins, he saw progress in those areas. Wells is optimistic about the second part of the season, where the rest of the Bluegrass Conference season plus the conference tournament looms.
