The Central College athletics department has been sharing their best moments of 2018 during the holidays. On social media, the college highlighted some key moments from the year, including:

Will Daniels winning the National Championship at the indoor heptathlon
Central track and field assistant Jim Fuller named the National Assistant Coach of the Year for guiding two All-Americans in the heptathlon
C.J. Pestano becoming the school’s second-ever three time All-American at his third trip to the National Meet
The football team edging Simpson on a last minute touchdown 17-16 on October 13th, as heard live on 92.1 KRLS
Brittany Coppess winning the American Rivers Conference Individual Championship in October
A two walk-off homerun day for Tabitha Taylor and the Central Softball team
The No. 6 seeded men’s basketball team upsetting Loras to make it to a third consecutive conference title game–the same group who nearly upset Nebraska Wesleyan in the finals.

Central will open up the 2019 season with wrestling and basketball in the first week of the new year.
