Indianola Municipal Utilities will be moving their offices from City Hall to their new location 210 W. 2nd Ave. and will be open for business on January 14th.

IMU General Manager Tom Gaffigan tells KNIA News with the move, the fiber project, and the normal services of electric and water, this is a busy time for IMU.

“We have a new electric line shop coming online, and use the old facility for our telecom line shop so there is a lot of transition there. With our new building being our new customer service center, we expect in the telecom business that our work with customers one-on-one will triple and this new building has better parking, better facilities, and will work better than just going to city hall.”

Residents who use IMU for their utilities will no longer pay their utility bill at City Hall, but will have the opportunity to use walk-up stations at the new location for service, sign-up, and support. The new location will also have drive-through drop-boxes for residents to pay their bills.
