Iron sharpens iron, so the motto goes, and the Pella boys basketball team believes they’ll be ready for a potentially deep run into the playoffs because of the challenging schedule they face.

Head Coach Derek Schulte tells KRLS Sports it’s been an at-times thrilling start to the season, as the 6-2 Little Dutch sit atop the Little Hawkeye Conference in a three-way tie. He says the tough competition and future college basketball players on the floor on a near-nightly basis has kept the team in green on edge, and will likely make them playoff ready.

Pella opens 2019 with a boys-girls doubleheader, when they welcome Dallas Center-Grimes to town on January 4th.
