The Pleasantville girls’ basketball team had a successful 7-4 first half of the season in large part of their work on the defensive end.

Jordan Durksy has been a big reason for the success, as she leads the West Central Conference in a couple of defensive statistical categories. The senior has made a living picking off the opposition leading the league in steals with 48, 10 more than the second place player. Her length has also helped her become a premier shot blocker with a conference-high 30 on the season.

Dursky will try to add to her total tomorrow night when the Trojans open up 2019 against Van Meter. Listen to the game on the KNIA3 Stream starting at 6:15 p.m.
