The Indianola wrestling team took down Little Hawkeye Conference rival Grinnell Thursday evening 45-27 to get 2019 off on the right foot.

The Indians saw victories by fall from Ryder Downey at 106lbs, Nick Bonnano at 145lbs, Hunter VanderWaal at 160lbs, Brennan Meacham at 170lbs, Andrew Wolff at 195lbs, and Jaylin Smith at heavyweight while Wes Hogard picked up a 5-2 win by decision at 220lbs. Indianola won’t have long to celebrate their victory, as they will travel to Ames tomorrow for a tournament.
