Tonight’s Knoxville City Council meeting will see the addition of three new recruits to the Knoxville Police Department.
Amber Santoro, Brandon Hills and Sam Dykstra will be officially sworn in as police officers; they will then report to the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy for training, and return for further field training with the department.
Police Chief Dan Losada says they should be ready for full duty by August.
Also on tonight’s agenda is a proposal from Snyder and Associates for the Weiler Drive RISE grant application.
The meeting convenes at 6:15 p.m.
