Gusty winds are expected today as a strong cold front pushes through.

The National Weather Service predicts sustained northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph, with the highest gusts reaching 50 mph. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles along east-west oriented roads such as Highway 92. The strong winds may blow down tree limbs and power lines as well, and loose or unsecured outdoor objects could become airborne. Much cooler, but closer-to-normal temperatures are expected Wednesday and Thursday, with daytime highs in the upper 20s and lower 30s, with a gradual warm up expected through the weekend.
