The Indianola YMCA has begun their 2019 fundraising campaign, with the goal of raising $75,000 for their financial assistance programs.

Interim Executive Director Heather Hulen tells KNIA News the mission of the YMCA is to focus on youth development, social responsibility, and healthy living, and that’s what this money raised for.

“If we are going to live our cause as far as helping others, we are going to need some extra help from the community to help raise those dollars. Our memberships pay for the day to day operation of the YMCA. We use these extra funds to provide for our financial assistance programs, and to make an impact on lives and the community through our services and programs that we can provide here, building social health.”
