Widespread snowfall impacted most of south central Iowa after a winter storm dumped moderate to heavy amounts of snow since Friday night.

The following totals were reported to the National Weather Service:

Pella – 8″
Knoxville (1 mile NNW of downtown) – 5.5″
Indianola – 7.3″
Bussey – 11″
Melcher-Dallas – 6.5″

Harvey -7″
T-17 and Hwy 5 – 15″

A tow ban remains in place for Marion County until further notice. Snow ordinances are in effect in Pella, Knoxville, and Indianola as well. Travel will likely remain difficult until Sunday morning.
