It is Rivalry Tuesday in Knoxville, as the Panthers host Pella with the girls game likely being very pivotal to both teams regional matchups that come out in a couple of weeks. Knoxville, while being currently ranked number 15 in the latest Iowa High School Girls Union class 4A poll, will be tested with Pella’s inside game, while Knoxville hopes its perimeter game, and driving to the basket counter Pella’s inside presence. The boys will also get a heavy test from one of the best three point shooting teams in class 3A as Pella has hit the most threes of any class 3A team, while Knoxville is right behind in second place. Regardless, Knoxville Coach Jeff Larson tells KNIA Sports his team will have to play well defensively. Pella beat PCM last night 74-61. The Little Dutch hit a barrage of threes to take the lead in the second half. You can hear the action on KNIA with Derek Cardwell and Brian Adams starting with the pre game at six.
