The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday evening.

The board approved citizen appointments to boards and commissions, of which four still have openings. Chairwoman Crystal McIntyre tells KNIA News filling the boards are important for the supervisors to make educated decisions.

“Most of the boards have people who are experts in those fields to help, and they definitely help us understand the needs and concerns of the citizens. I don’t feel I could make a clear and good decision for the public if I didn’t have those serving on the boards to help.”

Open positions in Warren County currently include the Board of Health, an expert on occupational property values for the Condemnation Compensation Commission, the Warren County Historic Preservation Commission, and Weed Commissioner. The board also tabled a discussion of upgrading voting equipment, and appointed McIntyre to the Law Enforcement Center/Courthouse Architectural Design Committee.
