The Pleasantville boys’ basketball team has won three of the last four games and a big reason for that has been the play of junior Tagen Douma.

The point guard has seen his number of shots per game go up since the New Year and has taken full advantage of the opportunity. The junior has scored in double figures in each of the last three games and head coach Joel Allman tells KNIA Sports his shots have come in the flow of the offense.

“With this team we are very unselfish. When guys are open and in a range they are comfortable with we encourage our guys to take it. We have seen a lot of zone lately and he is good at busting some zones because of his ability to shoot from long range. I haven’t really told him to take more shots but rather to stay confident and if it is in the flow of the offense to take it.”

The Trojans will travel to Osceola to face Clarke on Monday.
