Travel will remain difficult through the morning especially on side streets, gravel roads, and highways exposed to the wind. Iowa DOT and county plows will continue to work to clear as much as they can throughout the day. Bitterly cold, arctic air is coming tonight and staying through Saturday morning, with wind chills dipping well below zero during that time. Conditions Thursday and Friday morning could cause frostbite or hypothermia in as little as 30 minutes if proper winter gear isn’t worn.
Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest winter weather information.
