The Indianola girls led nearly the entire game, scoring much of their first half points in the fast break and earning a 30-21 lead at the halftime break. The Indians continued the pressure well into the third quarter, leading 43-27 with just 2:30 left in the period. From then on, the Eagles would outscore the Indians 22-4, with Chloe Morgan hitting a baseline two to take the lead with five seconds left to go. Kendall Clatt scored 15 to lead the Indians. The Indianola boys got off to a fast start, with junior guard AJ Toigo hitting four first quarter three point shots and lead the squad at half with 16 as Indianola carried a 34-24 lead into the break. Despite several runs by Pella Christian, the Indians led comfortably the rest of the way banking on a 23 point second half by Evan Gauger to cruise to the victory. Gauger led the way for Indianola with 29 points, while Toigo ended with 17. The Indians girls are now 7-7 overall, while the boys improve to 11-3, and both teams next play Tuesday at Dallas Center-Grimes.
