The Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad beat Colfax-Mingo 79-65 on Thursday. The Saints were led by Blaise Cooper with 25 points and 17 rebounds. while Ethan Harrington was not to be outdone had a double-double himself with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Coach Jim Wells along with the players have had to deal with games being called off and not practicing some days. He tells KNIA Sports the unplanned off time may have helped his team. The girls fell to Colfax-Mingo 54-53, Kynser Reed and Emilie Krpan scored 18 points. The Saints are back in action against Moravia on Saturday.
