Indianola Parks and Rec is hosting a Valentine’s Day Special Friends Dance on February 22nd for individuals of all ages with special needs. Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News these dances happen several times a year, and it provides fun for not only those with special needs, but allows a fun outlet for caretakers as well.

“This is a fun time for families, chaperones, respite providers, or SEO workers, and we have a great DJ in Steph Steveson who just allows everyone to let loose with dancing, there is door prizes, and of course those with special needs just always have a great time.”

The dance will be held at the Indianola Activity Center from 6:30-8pm, with a charge of $3 at the door, covering the cost of food and door prizes.
