The Pleasantville basketball teams had a tough matchup last night against Des Moines Christian and fell in a doubleheader.

The girls hung tough for a while trailing 28-13 at half to the undefeated in conference Lady Lions. The fourth quarter they started to pull away and defeated the Trojans 63-28. Jordan Dursky led the team with 13 points. Pleasantville falls to 9-9 on the season.

The boys’ game played out much of the same with the Trojans hanging around until late and the Lions coming out on top 47-35. Teron Mount had a team-high 11 points and Grant Fouch chipped in with nine. The Trojans drop to 7-11.

Both teams turn around and travel to Van Meter this evening.
