Already the Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad has won more games this season than the Sabers have in the previous three seasons. Coach Trent Verwers wanted this to be a year of improvement with a lot of freshmen who are getting the bulk of the playing time and seniors who are playing well. Verwers tells KRLS Sports the seniors have been excellent in their leadership and the freshmen know this is the start of a building program. The Sabers next game is their first round class 1A regional contest Thursday night at Moravia.
