Night skates are now running at the new Indianola ice rink at Pickard Park every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, with lights on until 9pm, in addition to the normal skating schedule during the day. Hockey will be played in the mornings from 9am until noon, with a free skate the rest of the day. Indianola residents who want to know if the rink is open for skating can look at the sign at the rink, green means the rink is open for public use, while red means the rink is closed for maintenance.
