At the most recent Indianola City Council meeting, the city approved several steps in planning for the future, as they approved professional service agreements with Snyder and Associates to assist in developing a comprehensive plan, and Bolton and Menk Inc to help with the Square Streetscape. Indianola City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the city has the future in mind.
“The comprehensive plan is one of the most important documents a community has. It lays out where future growth happens, where utilities and infrastructure are located. What about parks, what is our look, what is our feel, what is the Indianola vision, this document will spell that out.”
Waller also said that both of these companies were selected because of the strong outlet they both had to receive as much input from the public as possible to make sure that the plan reflects the vision of residents of Indianola.
