The Pella School Board will review the 2019-20 academic year calendar at their meeting Monday.

The draft presented to the board includes a start date of August 23rd and an end date of May 29th, with a spring break coinciding with Central College and Pella Christian. The board will also review options for the last day of school for the current academic year, considering the six snow days missed so far and numerous shortened days due to weather. During a work session, they will discuss what priorities the district will have for legislative advocacy, and review the budget prediction for next fiscal year with the expected 2.06% increase in state supplemental aid agreed upon by Republican leadership at the Iowa Statehouse.
