The Indianola Police Department released their annual report to the Indianola City Council recently, and detailed an increase in calls the department answered. According to the report, the IPD saw an increase of 13.6% in calls for service, answering 12,856 total. The statistics also showed an increase in overall traffic enforcement citations and warnings, but a decrease in OWI incidents. A recent staffing study also concluded that the department is understaffed with four openings for officers, two of which will be filled this coming year. To view the full report, click below.
