The PCM Mustangs took down the Chariton Chargers Thursday night at Van Meter High School in the Class 2A District 10 semifinal 47-39. The Mustangs would start slow in the first quarter offensively and be tied with the Chargers 10-10 after one before breaking out in the second quarter behind senior Andrew Van Ryswyk’s 19 first half points to lead 33-19 at the break. PCM looked to be on its way to an easy win extending the lead to 19 in the third quarter before the Chargers defense put the Mustangs on lock and the Chargers would outscore the Mustangs 20-14 in the second half but too little too late. The Mustangs move on to face Van Meter Tuesday in Norwalk in the Class 2A District 10 final.
