It was a season of milestones for Knoxville Girls Basketball Player Katie Keitges this season. Against Newton on January fifth she became the fourth girl in the five-on-five era to reach 1,000 career points. She finished with a total of 468 points this season good enough for a 23.4 average, both are new school records. Keitges is also closing in on another milestone, the all-time scoring lead in Knoxville history. She needs just 106 points to break Sam Abens’s record that was established between 2006-2010.
