The City of Indianola continues to progress with the planning of RAGBRAI, which is set to come through the area on July 23rd. RAGBRAI officials have a detailed planning portfolio which is sent to representatives to each of the overnight stay cities, and City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the city is well underway towards preparing for the event.

“RAGBRAI actually offers training for us, so that will be a great opportunity to get some input from RAGBRAI officials and feedback from other communities, what worked well and what didn’t. Then the rubber really hits the road. We are excited, and we are in the process of securing some of our entertainment, and we’ll just leave it at that because it’s something that we are really excited about.”

Waller also said that city organizers are in the process of finalizing appointments to the various sub-committees, who will do the bulk of the work planning specific areas for the visit.
