This past winter the PCM wrestling team enjoyed a program’s first ever-state dual appearance and had five individuals standing on the podium at Wells Fargo Arena for the state individual meet.

While the Mustangs were competing at their best at the end of the season, it came after some adversity in the first half of the season with many injuries and illnesses. Senior and the program’s win leader Jarron Trausch tells KRLS Sports that adversity made the accomplishment at the end of the season even more rewarding.

“The adversity made us closer and we pushed together as a team. It worked out positively in the end. It was probably the hardest season we have had as a group but we did what we had to do in the end.”

The Mustangs finished eighth in class 2A in the state duals and individual team tournament.
