Pella Christian senior Jayden Huisman had a decision to make at the next level — not necessarily which school to attend, but what sport to play.
Huisman chose to continue his football career over basketball with the rapidly growing Dordt football program. Jayden says there’s some unfinished business in his football career, after his senior season ended in injury, and getting to the Defenders program was also a chance to join his older brother Alex at the next level.
Jayden’s family has a long legacy at Dordt–his grandfather was once the athletic director at the school. Huisman was a starting wide receiver for the Eagles for two seasons, catching 47 passes for 546 yards and three touchdowns in his varsity career.
