A flood warning has been issued for Warren County until 10:15 am today, and Marion County through the weekend, while heavy winds continue to affect the area leading to a wind advisory in place for much of south central Iowa. According to the National Weather Service, over 1.2” of rain fell in Indianola earlier this week leading to flood warnings being issued as the Middle River north of Indianola rose above flood stage Wednesday afternoon. Knoxville and Marion County avoided heavy rainfall, but still suffer from closures around the county due to water-covered roads. A full list of road closures for both Marion and Warren Counties can be found on KNIAKRLS.com.
