Pella firefighters and ambulance personnel responded to a barn fire in rural Leighton Friday.

At 5:43, a report of a barn fire was called in, prompting response from Pella Rural Fire and Pella Ambulance. No people were inside at the time, however, there were pigs in the barn.

No injuries were reported.
