U.S. Congressman Dave Loebsack was in Pella Thursday to tour Precision, Pulley, and Idler and meet with leaders of the organization.

Loebsack learned about the employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) and the benefits it has for those who work for the company.

“It’s truly employee owned, and they have certain tax advantages being an ESOP — we have to make sure we protect those,” he says. “I think ESOPs are pretty amazing, in the sense that it really helps employees to feel as though they are a part of the operation.

Vice President of Precision, Incorporated Greg Stravers say any ESOP legislation, ongoing tariff disputes, and immigration reform are all priorities for the company, and were discussed with Congressman Loebsack.

“There were three main topics that we wanted to convey to the congressman,” Stravers says.
