A reported threat against an employee led Pella Corporation to put its headquarters into lockdown on Tuesday morning shortly after 10:00.

The company says the lockdown was put into place as a precaution, and that the safety of its team members is its main priority. They are not aware of any wider threat to this or other company locations.

Lt. Paul Haase of the Pella Police Department tells KNIA/KRLS News an employee reported that they had received a threat from a family member in Mahaska County. After an initial investigation, as of early this afternoon, the threat was determined to be non-credible, but the investigation continues.

The all-clear has been given, and company operations are back to normal.
