A portion of South Third Street in Knoxville will be closed beginning on Thursday, due to construction work at the Knoxville Public Library.

The City of Knoxville says South Third from the alley between Robinson and Montgomery to the intersection of Montgomery and Third Street will be closed in order to connect new water service to the building.

This closure is expected to last for two days; but with the possibility of rain in the forecast, the closure could be delayed until next Monday.
