This weekend’s planned kick-off party and opening night of racing at the Knoxville Raceway has been postponed due to weather.

Raceway management says due to the heavy snow in parts of the north central states, and the cold temperatures forecast on Friday and Saturday, the events have been pushed back one week.

The season kick-off party will now be held next Friday, April 19th; it will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dyer-Hudson Hall. Practice will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Then on Saturday, April 20th, the Pella Motors/Kraig Ford Opening Night will take place featuring 360, 410 and Pro Sprint cars.
