The Pella Professional and Business Women’s Forum will next meet on Thursday, April 18. Pella Author and Gardener Carol Van Klompenburg will be the featured speaker. She will read selections from her recent book Tending Beauty: Forty Moments in My Gardens. She has a master’s degree in theatre arts and has performed across Iowa under the Iowa Humanities Board. Tending Beauty is Van Klompenburg’s sixth book—but her first about gardening. Copies will be available at the April 18 meeting at the Central College Graham Conference Center from noon to 1:00 p.m. Lunch is provided in the $12.00 guest fee. Guests are encouraged to join with an annual membership if they desire. PPBWF is a networking and professional development organization for women in Pella and the surrounding area.
