Progress continues for Historic Pella Trust as they raise funds for the Tuttle Learning Walk. The walkway will connect Historic Tuttle Cabin to Sunken Garden Park through a meandering sidewalk. The walkway will have signage telling the early history of Pella. The Pella Walmart made a recent donation of $1000 to the project.The City of Pella and Historic Pella Trust are currently working with Klingner and Associates on the planning and engineering of the project. They are considering options in the design such as the landscape possibilities and native plants, as well as engraved signs with QR codes and a stamped textured concrete pathway. The current plan is for a 6 foot wide curving walk with expanded areas by each of the 6 signs. Historic Pella Trust is raising 100% of the funds to build the city-owned project.
