The City of Indianola will be performing maintenance on the medians of Highway 65/69 on April 30th, which will cause the inside lanes to be shut down. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the work will not include the actual street repair.

“It’s actually median repair of the floral kind and not necessarily the concrete kind. A couple of years ago the city beautified two of the northern quarter medians with some landscaping. We’re at that time of year where we are getting everything ready, so our Parks and Rec crews will be out there planting some of the plants that passed away over the winter months, weeding, and just cleaning up the medians so they look nice and fresh as we move into what we hope is the summer season.”

The inside lanes will be closed from 9am to 4pm on April 30th, from Hillcrest Ave going north approximately .8 miles. For more information on the repair, and updates from the latest city council meeting, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola.
