The first severe weather threat of the season is in the forecast this evening. According to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center, a slight to marginal risk for severe thunderstorms is possible in most of central Iowa this afternoon and evening. The primary threats will be large hail and damaging winds, likely between 4 and 7 p.m. KNIA/KRLS is on the air with severe weather action team coverage for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for any portion of Marion County or Warren County.
