The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday evening. The board awarded the contract for the demolition of the Warren County Courthouse to D.W. Zinser Company for $139,000, the lowest of four bids to come in. The board also awarded Vanderpool Construction the bid for utility and sewer work around the courthouse project for $196,000, the only bid for the project. The board approved a budget amendment, approved a zoning amendment and again faced a packed room for a discussion about 150th Ave. Residents of the area came to discuss the status of the road being nearly undrivable, and several concerns of safety were brought before the board. Board Chair Crystal McIntyre spoke to the group about priorities in the budget, and how the board has expanded the Engineer’s Office budget for FY 2019, to fix problems that are county-wide.
