It took a week longer to complete, but the action did not disappoint Saturday night at the Knoxville Raceway for the 66th season opener. 78 cars checked into the pits with 33 being in the 410s and 34 in the 360s. With drivers like Dale Blaney, Aaron Reutzel, Spencer Bayston, Cory Eliason, and other All-Star Circuit of Champions drivers invading the Knoxville Raceway due to a rain out in Ohio, it made for a tougher field. Brian Brown took his first win of the season and 45 of his career at Knoxville taking the lead on lap ten and pulling away for a comfortable win. Ryan Giles dominated the 360 feature leading wire-to-wire. The same could also be said for Matthew Stelzer in the Pro Sprints Class, formerly 305s. Stelzer took off and led all 12 laps for a dominating win. Next week will have all three classes run again, and you can hear it on KNIA.
