pints-3

The Third Annual IYP Putt Putt and Pints Classic is tomorrow on the downtown Indianola square, raising money to provide children a hot lunch during school. Registrants will play modified mini-golf at local businesses on the square, with food and drinks provided. Organizer Nick Carda tells KNIA News even those who aren’t signed up to play or compete in the event, are still welcome to join the fun.

“If you missed the signup or couldn’t find a team, then still show up on the day and enjoy the crowds, and enjoy the free food, and have some drinks and fun, and hopefully donate your time and money. There is also options to donate online if you like the charity but you can’t be there that day, that’s another option to be involved as well. So there is a lot of ways to get involved, and a lot of people and sponsors are involved.”

Funds raised will support the “Feeding Indianola’s Kids” charity, which provides a hot lunch for children in schools that do not qualify for free or reduced lunches when they run a negative account balance. The event runs tomorrow from 11am to 7pm.
