The Knoxville Girls were third while the boys finished in fourth place at the South Central Conference Track and Field Meet last night in Chariton. The girls had a triple champion in Katie Keitges taking gold in the 800 1500, and 3000 races. Also on the podium was Abbey Jackson second in the 100 and 200. The boys got a conference championship from Jordan Bacon in the 800. The Panthers got a number of podium finishes as well including Kieren Nichols in the 200 and long jump also Alex Buckley was second in the discus and shot put.

South Central Conference Track Meet

The Knoxville Girls Golf squad got their second victory of the season with a 258-to-261 win over Albia. The Panthers were led by Maddi Graves with a 59, she was also overall runner-up. Isabella Day-Suhr was third overall with a 63. Knoxville heads to Edmundson in Oskaloosa for the conference meet on Monday hosted by Clarke.

The Knoxville Girls Soccer Squad got a little revenge on Carlisle at home on Thursday in a 3-1 victory over the Wildcats. The Panthers got goals from Emma DeJoode, Amber VanderVeer, and Kelsey Ryan. Knoxville had previously lost to Carlisle 7-0 in the season opener has now won six matches in a row. Knoxville will head to the Creston Invitational on Saturday. The boys followed the girls and handled Carlisle 4-1. Luis Ramos with two and Elliott Schmidt and Sam Wadle had the other two goals. Senior player Christian Magana tells KRLS Sports with the season beginning to wind down, he knows what is ahead for this team. The Panthers improve to 7-3 and will travel to Clarke on Monday.
