A new rental agreement between the City of Knoxville and the Knoxville Senior Center is on the agenda for tonight’s City Council meeting.

The agreement covers rental of the basement at City Hall, which is the home of the Senior Center and the location for its new in-house congregate meal service. The agreement would cover three years.

Also up for discussion are work agreements for two projects along Lincoln Street; one involves overlay of the road and addition of traffic signals, and the other covers the intersection with Weiler Drive. Both projects would be carried out by Snyder and Associates.

And the City Council will discuss a long-standing offer from one local resident to use an old house as a training burn site for the Fire Department.

The meeting convenes tonight at 6:15 p.m. and can be heard live on AM 1320/FM 94.3/FM 95.3 KNIA.
