Democratic Party candidate for President Beto O’Rourke held a town hall in Indianola at Simpson College Tuesday, taking questions from the public on a range of issues. O’Rourke focused on immigration, climate change and the need for clean energy, and forgiving student debt, but stated that one of the biggest priorities is finding a way for the nation to come together, regardless of where you are on the political spectrum. O’Rourke is the latest candidate to visit the area, joining Senators Kamala Harris and Kirsten Gillibrand among others.
