The Knoxville Boys Tennis Squad placed second at the South Central Conference meet on Monday. The Panthers were outscored 20-16 by first place winner Chariton. Tyler Wells finished third for the Panthers in singles, while R.J. Roberts and Gabe Matthias teamed up to place second in doubles. The Panthers will now look to the district on Wednesday being held at the Joel Tonda Tennis Center in Knoxville.

The Knoxville Girls Golf Squad shot their best 18 hole meet of the season at the South Central Conference Tournament which helped the Panthers to a fifth place finish. Knoxville’s score was 443 at Edmondson in Oskaloosa and hosted by Clarke. Amy Sullivan earned all-conference with a sixth place finish. Knoxville will play in a triangular with Carlisle and Pleasantville on Friday.

Both Knoxville Boys and Girls Track and Field Squads finished seventh at the regular season finale in Pella on Monday night. Abbey Jackson was able to finish first in the 200 while Katie Keitges placed first in the 1500 and second in the 800. For the boys, the 800 sprint medley placed fourth. The team of Carter Bailey, Keegan Cox, Kieren Nichols, and Seth Walraven laid down a time of 1:43.50. Both Panthers squads head to the State Qualifier at Dallas Center-Grimes on Thursday.

The Knoxville Girls Soccer Squad drubbed Clarke last night 10-0. Emma DeJoode kept her torrid pace of scoring as she nailed five goals for the Panthers, that puts her at 22 on the season and ten in the last three matches. Also getting tallies for the Panthers were Amber Vander Veer, Anna Sanderson, Melody Torres ,and Kelsey Ryan with one each. Assists went to Vander Veer, Marley McKay, and DeJoode. Knoxville is now 10-3 on the season and 3-0 in the South Central Conference. The Panthers take on Centerville on Thursday. The Boys followed suit with a 2-0 blanking of the Indians. Elliott Schmidt and Braeden Pollard had goals for the Panthers while J.J. Beaver got an assist and Wyatt Darnell recored four saves. Knoxville is now 7-3 and will travel to Chariton tomorrow.
