All area soccer teams have learned their playoff destinations. For the defending Class 2A champions in Pella, they are defending their home field in their opening round after a bye, and hosts the winner of Fairfield v Oskaloosa on Wednesday, May 22nd. The Little Dutch travel to Knoxville tonight.

Pella Christian’s boys will host Albia in Class 1A Substate 6 on Monday, May 20th at 7 p.m. The Eagles closed the regular season Thursday with a 2-0 win over Carlisle at home. Daniel Mora scored in the 45th minute and a penalty kick in the 78th minute.

Ranked No. 8 in Class 2A, the Pella Lady Dutch earned a No. 1 seed and home field advantage in 2A Region 5. They will host the winner of Mount Pleasant and Fairfield on May 28th, with a potential regional finals matchup looming in a rematch with Norwalk, or against the winner of Oskaloosa or PCM and if one of those teams knock of the No. 9 Warriors. The team bounced back from a close loss Tuesday, defeating Roosevelt on Thursday night 2-1. Grace Held scored two goals in the first half, with Camille Dixon tallying an assist. Pella improves to 9-2 and hosts No. 1 in 2A Lewis Central at Pella High School Saturday at 1 p.m.

No. 11 Pella Christian will start the 1A girls soccer playoffs with a home game against Centerville on May 28 at 6 p.m. They would play No. 9 Holy Trinity if they advance on 5/31, with No. 8 Nevada looming on the other side of the bracket. The Eagles next host Ballard on Monday.
