Due to damage caused this morning to a power pole on Highway 65/69, as of 7pm this evening Indianola Municipal Utilities will begin pulling transmission and distribution wires from the west side of Highway 65/69 to the east side near the intersection with Willowcrest Avenue near Theisen’s. According to IMU, there will be periodic stoppages of traffic flow on Highway 65/69 while this work is conducted. IMU recommends avoiding the area if at all possible, and if it is necessary to be in the area please drive carefully and watch for Utility Workers and Vehicles. The work is expected to continue into Wednesday morning.
