An open house for Indianola residents to view the preliminary downtown streetscape master plan will be held tomorrow, providing an opportunity for feedback and to give the community’s vision on what the square should look like. Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News the preliminary plan has been developed by consultants Bolton and Menk Inc., alongside a steering committee comprised of business owners and employees in the downtown area. Dissell also said that every aspect of the project is on the table for changes, from the one-way/two-way lanes on the square, to the lights and trees planted. The open house will be at the Sagewood Event and Meeting Venue, at 117 E Salem Avenue, on May 15th from 7-8:30pm.
