Half of Melcher-Dallas’s six events qualified ran Thursday at the State Track and Field Meet. The Saints’ J’Lyn Knutson ran the 3000 on a very warm day to finish 15th with a time of 12:09.61. The boys 4×800 meter relay team of Ryan and Steven Krpan, Emery Sage, and Ethan Harrington stopped the clock at 8:41.01. Grace Overgaard was 24th in the girls shot put in class one-A with a toss of 31 feet six inches. The Saints have just one event for Friday as Ethan Harrington will participate in the high jump.
